Luca Abdel-Nour

Luca Abdel-Nour is a gifted ballet dancer of French and Egyptian heritage, born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He embarked on his ballet journey at the age of 12 at the Premier Ballet Academy in Cairo. By the age of 14, Luca made the bold decision to leave his hometown to pursue professional ballet training abroad, paving the way for an extraordinary career.
During the 2017-2018 season, Luca was awarded a scholarship to the Hungarian Dance Academy, where he took part in the annual Nutcracker program and toured Hungary, showcasing original works alongside his peers. His time in Budapest was transformative, offering him invaluable experience and exposure to a variety of dance styles.
After completing his studies in Hungary, Luca received a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation to further his education at the Zürich Tanz Akademie. He began his training there in 2018, dedicating three years to refining his craft. In 2021, he graduated with a federal certificate of competence in classical dance.
While at the Zürich Tanz Akademie, Luca made a notable impact on the international ballet scene by competing in the prestigious Prix de Lausanne 2021. His exceptional performance earned him second prize, as well as the titles of Web Audience Favourite and Best Swiss Candidate Award, establishing him as a rising star in the ballet world.
