Ilya Jivoy

Choreographer

Born in 1989, Ilya Jivoy is an award-winning freelance choreographer, dancer and creative director.


Educated at one of the most prestigious ballet institutions, the Vaganova Ballet Academy, and with extensive experience performing both classical and contemporary ballets at the globally recognised Mariinsky Ballet Company, Ilya Jivoy is a choreographer and director of international acclaim.


He seamlessly integrates the aesthetics and beauty of the Neoclassical Ballet School into his work, reimagining it with an innovative vision. Striving to explore new dimensions, he experiments with form and content, employing modern theatrical techniques combined with the classical ballet foundations, neoclassicism, contemporary style, and elements of dramatic theater, emphasizing the power of acting in his choreography.


Ilya Jivoy’s performances are intensely emotional and dynamic, filled with the raw energy of pure dance. They captivate audiences, drawing them into the action and allowing them to experience and feel every emotion alongside the performers on stage. His choreography captivates, challenges, and leaves a lasting impression.


Continuing to push the boundaries of choreographic movement, Ilya Jivoy has authored more than thirty diverse projects worldwide. He maintains successful collaborations with major international theaters, prestigious festivals, the film industry, and renowned jewelry brands, consistently creating performances that are highly respected for their fusion of neoclassical and contemporary dance. His works have been showcased across the globe, from Germany and Switzerland to the USA, Japan, Spain, and many other countries.


The high quality of performance, Jivoy’s unique style, and meticulous attention to detail, along with his use of unconventional technologies and innovative solutions in stage design, are the hallmarks of his work.
